"Da Da"

For a while now Tyler has been babbling; changing the tone of his voice as if he was holding an actual conversation with us. Recently Tim and I started repeating "da da" to him to see if he would catch on. For the past few days he would say "da", but he wasn't stringing it together. Well today for the first time he said "da da" and not just once, but over and over again. :) Tim is now working on "ma ma"!

Big BOY with a sippy cup and puffs!

Today when we picked up Tyler from daycare, his teacher told us he was a big boy and drank really well from his sippy cup and ate a puff. We went straight from the daycare to the grocery store and bought Tyler some Gerber Graduate Puffs and gave him some when we got home. He ate the puffs and drank from his sippy cup like a big boy!

Saturday we went to Aubrie's 2nd birthday party and Tyler got to play on a slip and slide and a moon bounce!

Well sort of... I tried some finger foods with Tyler, but he wasn't really interested. He does like the mesh feeder and his high chair though. :)

Finally some medicine for the sick baby...

As most of you know Tyler has had some sort of a cold since about January. We've taken him back to the doctor multiple times to have him checked, but they usually tell us we are doing everything we can for him and there isn't any they can give him right now. Over the past few days, Tyler's cough has gotten progressively worse. He coughs so hard he gags/chokes himself at the end. I noticed he was wheezing a bit yesterday after I picked him up from daycare so I called his doctor's office to see if there are any other symptoms I need to be keeping an eye out for so he doesn't wind up with pneumonia. The nurse suggested we bring him in to be checked, so we took the 7:50 appointment and headed out the door. when we first got to the office they did a quick check of Tyler's weight. With all his clothes on was a hefty 16lbs 11oz - ha. After his weigh in we sat in the exam room for a few minutes where Tyler discovered the fun crinkly sounding paper that was draped over the exam table. He did a pretty good job of tearing it up. After a few minutes, Dr. Christian (who I love) examined Tyler and said he was definitely wheezing and she wanted to try a Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol. She said Tyler also still have fluid in his ears and it was a little cloudy, so instead of waiting for it to turn into an infection she prescribed him some Amoxicillian to take 2x a day for 7 days. After the Nebulizer treatment, Dr. Christian rechecked Tyler and said he already sounded a bit clearer, so he is now doing a treatment 3x a day for the next 5 days. He goes back tomorrow for a follow-up to see how his breathing is doing. Of course Tyler never passes up a photo op when a camera is present. I just love this little boy!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone! I am having the most AMAZING fist Mother's Day!!! The morning started off waking up early so we could get ready for church. I hopped in the shower first thing and Tim went downstairs and made breakfast for us and his parents. When I came downstairs sitting on the table was my Mother's Day gift from Tim and Tyler. It is a GORGEOUS charm bracelet from Tiffany & Co! One of the charms is engraved with Mom and the second charm is engraved with Tyler's name on one side and his date of birth on the other. I absolutely LOVE it and it will be something I cherish and add charms too for years to come.








































Not only is today Mother's Day, but we also had Tyler's dedication at the church. Thank you to all of our family and friends who came to Tyler's dedication and to Nancy and Michael for capturing Tyler's prayer on video!

Tyler's 6 Month Appointment

We just got home from Tyler's 6 month checkup and he is doing really well. He is starting to show a little bit of stranger anxiety though. He started to cry the second he looked at the nurse and even the doctor. They said it is normal for a baby to do that, but it was just weird to see him doing it since he has never really shown signs of that before. I forgot to bring his paper home that the doctor wrote all of his information down on, but he is 15lbs 13oz. I didn't hear what she said as far as height, but he is 50% for height according to the charts and only 25% for weight - DOH! I told her how much he is eating and she said he is definitely eating well so he's just little. :o) She said he looks great and isn't concerned about his weight at all. He did get all of his shots today and is now sleeping. Poor little guy. He goes back July 31st for his 9 month checkup.

Tyler is 6 Months Old!

I can't believe my baby boy will be 6 months old tomorrow. It has been amazing watching him grow and discover new things daily. We go for his 6 month check up on Friday. I'm eager to see how much he has grown since his 4 month appointment. This past Sunday we went and had some family pictures taken. Here are a few... ENJOY!
