Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day full of food, fun, and family. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year with our parents, our sisters, my brother, and our nieces and nephew. We had a full house and a huge meal and we are just now escaping our turkey coma. We have so much to be thankful for and have truly been blessed. This was such a fantastic day! Now it’s time to go sneak one more slice of pie. Good night!

4 Week Checkup

Today was Tyler's 4 week checkup with his pediatrician. He weighs 9lbs 14oz (although Tim pointed out he is full of 5 days worth of poop)! The doctor said that his lack of bowel movements is nothing to be concerned with at this time. That some babies only go once a week. Hopefully he goes soon! She also said he looks perfect and is very impressed with how strong he is. She rolled him over to check his back and he pushed himself up and was holding his head high looking around. He goes back on December 30th for his 2 month checkup.

To all my Coach fans...

I had to share this picture. This is my niece Savannah posing in the Coach store. I am so proud - ha!

Tyler's First Road - 11/20 - 11/21

Tyler went on his first road trip to Hopewell, Virginia to see his Mimi, PaPa, aunts, cousins and friends this week. On the way down he did a super fantastic job and slept the entire way except for the last 5 minutes of the trip. On the way home he didn't do too bad, but we did have to stop off at a Walmart parking lot to feed him so he would calm down. All and all it was a great trip and we all had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Tyler's First Two Weeks

Wow I can't believe how quickly these past two weeks have flown by. We were extremely fortunate to have have our mom's here to help out these last two weeks. My mom stayed with us the first week and Tim's mom stayed with us the second week. We were very blessed to have that luxury. Our first two days home from the hospital were rough to say the least. Poor Tyler did nothing but cry and the only thing that soothed him was to be held around the clock. On Monday, November 3rd we took Tyler to his first appointment with the pediatrician. His weight was down from 8lbs 4oz at birth to 7lbs 8oz. The doctor said he was border line for loosing too much weight, so we had to take him back for a follow-up appointment that Wednesday. I was able to pump several bottles and this allowed us to monitor exactly how much he was eating. When we went back for his follow-up appointment 48 hours later his weight was up to 8lbs 2oz. The doctor was very impressed by this and Tyler has been a much happier baby since.

At his second appointment this past Thursday, Tyler's weight was up to 8lbs 13oz. He gained 11oz in one weeks time! The doctor said all they expect to see by the two week appointment is the baby back to his birth weight, so we have a little over achiever on our hands. :) He is also up to 22 inches long.

Thank you so much to everyone who has checked in on us. Many of you have asked about coming to visit and we would love to see you. Feel free to come by anytime. We will be here!

39 Week Belly Pictures

Well here are the final belly pictures before Tyler joins us on Thursday... seems so strange to say that. We took the boys for a nice long walk this afternoon. Tim used a tracker on his phone and it registered that we went just over 1.5 miles. It felt great to be outside, but I'm pretty sore now. Oh well, it was worth it. After our walk I changed out of my jeans and threw on a pair of Tim's pajama pants to be more comfortable. Very fashionable don't you think?

39 Week Ultrasound and Baby Update

Today we went for our FINAL doctor appointments! During the ultrasound Tyler was measuring 8lbs 3oz. According to the technician there is a +/- 19oz accuracy; so he may only be 7lbs or (my luck) he could be 9lbs!!! The important thing is everything is still looking great. During the appointment with our OB I was examined and am now 3cm dilated and 70% effaced. As the doctor left the exam room she said "I'll see you Thursday if not sooner!" So that's where we stand. :o)

37 Week Ultrasound and Baby Update

Today was doctor appointment day. We saw the OB first. I am still 1cm dilated, but a "loose" 1cm according to the doctor and my cervix is 60% effaced. Since they don't want me to go past my 11/1 due date, the office is calling the hospital to see about scheduling an inducement the final week of October. At the Specialist they did another Biophysical Profile and they FINALLY gave us a 3D picture!!!!! Everything is looking great and here is our little boy!!!!

36 Week Ultrasound and Baby Update

Today we went for two doctor appointments: one with our OB and the other with the Specialist for an ultrasound. I am still 1cm dilated and Tyler's head is very low. My OB has taken me off the Procardia as of this evening, so I am crossing my fingers and toes that my contractions don't get out of control. Basically our goal is to keep Tyler in for one more week so that I am a full 37 weeks and then he can come if he's ready. At the Specialist they did another Biophysical Profile and they also measured him. Everything is looking great and Tyler currently weighs 6lbs 12oz. They said that they do not want me to go past my 11/1 due date if I make it that far. So if he hasn't come by 11/1, I should have an appointment at the hospital to be induced on that day. So right now it's just a waiting game. His nursery is about 99% complete; there are just a few wall hangings left to hang. All of his clothes, towels, blankets and sheets have been washed, folded and put away. His diaper bag is packed and ready to go and I just need to put my stuff in a bag.

Most Amazing Baby Shower Ever!!!!

Today was my baby shower and it was absolutely AMAZING! My mom, sister and sister-in-law went way above and beyond to ensure that this day in my life was unforgettable and boy did they succeed! I could not have asked for anything more. Mom stayed the night with us Friday and began prepping for the shower immediately. Rhonda and her mom came over early on Saturday morning and they decorated the entire main level of the house (with some of Tim's help) and it was absolutely adorable. While the decorating was going on Mom and Tim ran out and picked up some balloons and the cake. People started showing up around 2pm and before I knew it there was a house full of family and friends celebrating our little blessing! There was so much food (as always) and it was all so good! We played a number of games and I opened a never ending sea of gifts. We were really spoiled and I can't begin to thank everyone enough for all of the incredible gifts we received. Tim's sister Angela and our friends Greg and Adrienne came all the way up from Richmond just to celebrate with us and Aaron, Candace and my old Brownie leader Ms. Pam came down from Maryland. Ms. Pam and her daughter Cindy made us an incredible diaper cake full of diapers, bibs, onesies, spoons, pacifiers, rubber duckies and much, much more. The favors my mom and Rhonda made were just amazing! They were little boxes with personalized M&Ms that read Tyler William and Mommy's Prince! I have included a few pictures below. We greatly appreciate everyone who came and are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who care so much. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Love Kelly, Tim and Tyler :)

My Anniversary Present!!

So two years ago I married a wench and 2 years later she bought me a winch! Just kidding Kelly I LOVE YOU!! Tony came over and helped me install it today. The winch is a Warn M8000 on a A to Z fabrication winch mount which was a part of the gift as well. Everything went smooth except for mounting the solenoid (the black box with the "W" on it). I guess you're supposed to buy an extra mount from warn, but Tony searched the net and found that most people just rotate the drum and use band clamps to hold the box down. After we wired the winch up we went in the street and wrapped the cable tight. He also wrapped his cable tight since we were out there. Here are pictures.
